About Us
In 2021 Pastor Robb Bierbaum left a college ministry and moved his family from Denver Colorado to become our first full-time Associate Pastor. Then on January 1st of 2023 he traded roles with our Founding Pastor and became the Lead Pastor of NewLife.
NewLife got its start in September of 2007 when Pastor Alan Brooks was called by God to leave Calvary Chapel of ABQ where he had served for 12 years and start a new church on Albuquerque Metro’s westside. For the first 18 months, NewLife met in a hotel and then leased and renovated a warehouse for the next four years. In the Spring of 2013 God miraculously opened the door for us to purchase our current property, and has enabled us to become the proverbial light on the hill above Albuquerque.

Robb received a calling to follow Jesus at an early age but didn’t fully respond until his college days. In the middle of the greatest time of regret, Jesus met him and reached into his life and rescued him from sin and brought him into God’s family as a son. Robb and his wife Kendra have four children, Karaline, Joshua, Norah and Jace. God had Robb ministering to college men for 8 years in Denver before calling him into pastoral ministry in 2021 where he now serves as the Lead Pastor of NewLife.

They began their married life in Albuquerque over 15 years ago and have two children, Isaiah and Selah. Matt has been employed as a Passenger Train Conductor for 10 years. When Matt isn’t at NewLife as a part of the worship team, he enjoys spending time with his family, tending his garden, and playing the occasional round of golf. God led Matt and his family to NewLife to be part of a body of believers that seek growth by applying God’s Word and desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the world.
